Biography

I got my bachelor degree from Ocean University of China (1988-1992), and my Master and PhD degree from Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (1994-2001). I became an executive council member of shandong society for cell biology (China) since 2014. Currently as a professor in Department of Marine Biology, Ocean University of China, I am interested in the development of continuous cell lines from the adult tissues and early embryos of economically important penaeid shrimps. To this aim, a series of methods for immortalization transformation and reprogramming have been tried in the shrimp primary culture cells. I also did some works on the In vitro and in vivo safety assessment of cytotoxicity, genotoxicity, embryotoxicity and teratogenicity of environmental pollutants using cultured fish cells, embryos and adult of zebrafish. I also have wide interests in the developmental biology and conservation of aquatic marine organisms like coral, jellyfish and fish species.
